The Monitoring Maintenance Index

"Open source" and "maintained" are not the same word. A monitoring tool you self-host is only as safe as the project behind it — so before you build your stack on one, it's worth knowing whether anyone still ships releases, merges fixes, or has quietly archived the repo. This index measures exactly that, first-hand from GitHub, across every tool in the database with a public repository.

Collecting data

The GitHub maintenance collector hasn't run yet, so there's nothing honest to publish here (this page stays out of the index until it has real numbers). When it runs, this becomes a ranked table of every open-source monitoring tool's release cadence, commit recency and open-issue load. In the meantime, each tool's own profile shows its maintenance signal, and the reliability snapshot already has live first-hand incident data.
