about
Not an expert. That's the point.
I'm Art Kravchenko. I work in IT infrastructure — networks, monitoring, and the systems nobody notices until something's on fire. This site is where I write it down: honest field notes on the tools, the tradeoffs, and what actually held up under load.
No vendor pitches, no "ultimate guides," no pretending I have it all figured out. I'd rather be useful than authoritative — the honest version of what worked and what didn't usually helps more than the polished one.
What you'll find here
Long write-ups on infrastructure and monitoring: escaping overpriced tools like SolarWinds, standing up open-source stacks (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana), and putting AI to work on the boring-but-critical parts — logs, alerts, the 2 a.m. stuff. Now and then, the AI tools I build along the way.
Why "not an expert"?
Because I'm still figuring plenty of it out, and I think that's worth being honest about. The label keeps me skeptical of hype — including my own.

I'm on LinkedIn, and I build aiwriter.ai. The best way to reach me about anything here is through the work itself.
